Hi there! I'm Mehak Jain, and I recently joined WebScIT as an intern. I'm excited to share a little about who I am and what I'll be working on over the coming months.

A Bit About Me

I'm a 3rd-year B.Tech student in Computer Science & AI, with a passion for open-source contributions, machine learning, and AI. What really drives me is seeing the whole picture — understanding how an app or framework works from its very first line of code all the way to a polished, production-ready product. I love digging into how tools are built, understanding the ecosystems around them, and thinking about how developers actually experience the software they use day to day.

What I'll Be Working On

My internship is focused on building a scientific modular framework. We're starting with a thorough analysis of different platforms, IDEs, and servers — laying the groundwork before writing a single line of production code. I'll be exploring existing tools, reading through community discussions, diving into documentation, and eventually contributing to building something entirely new from the ground up.

The goal is to go from research → architecture → a working prototype by summer. Which is both exciting and a little nerve-wracking — in the best way!

Why This Matters to Me

I've always been curious about one thing: how can the things I build actually help people? Not just technically work — but genuinely make someone's experience better. That question has guided how I approach every project, and this internship feels like the first real opportunity to answer it at scale. It's time to stop asking and start building.

Looking Forward

I'm grateful to be working with the WebScIT team and learning what it means to build thoughtful, well-researched software. I'll be sharing updates as the project evolves — stay tuned!
